About Daniel F.
Daniel F. Deraney took a circuitous path into regulation. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the State University of New York at Albany in 2009, the place he also studied criminal justice, psychology and sociology. He started his legal studies at Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center before transferring to Suffolk University Law School. He completed his J.D. at Suffolk in 2013, having taken courses in criminal regulation, civil rights regulation and employment and labor law.
Early in his legal background Deraney pursued internships and research roles that uncovered him to court work and client-aspect issues. He interned on the Essex County Superior Court in 2011 and worked as a research and office assistant in 2012 for the Office of Harvey A. Silverglate. That identical year he served as a research assistant at King & King. Those positions gave him practical exposure to legal research and courtroom process, and to the day-to-day work that helps trial advocacy.
After law program he moved into roles that combined practice-aspect work with management responsibilities. In 2015 Deraney based his personal practice, The Law Offices of Daniel F. Deraney. He has been listed as the attorney and owner of that company since then. He is licensed to practice in New Jersey and earlier than the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He has held active club in the Young Lawyers Division of the New Jersey State Bar Association since 2014.
