Vincent Rivera grew up inquisitive about how people think and make selections. He studied psychology at the University of Kansas and later earned a Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2009. His educational trail combined a knowing of human conduct with legal training, a pairing he has carried into courtroom work.

Rivera started his professional legal career on the State of Kansas Public Defender Office in 2009. He served as an assistant public defender, representing clients in frequently hard and high-strain settings. That early community service gave him frequent court exposure and steady trial experience. It also formed his strategy to case preparation and attorney-client communication.

In 2014 he opened Rivera Law. The firm grew out of the realistic demands Rivera had visible as a public defender and his interest in handling criminal matters at both the state and federal ranges. He practices in Kansas and is licensed to federal courts in each Kansas and Missouri. Those credentials allow him to take cases that cross state and federal lines.

Rivera's professional memberships include the Kansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Federal Bar of Kansas, and he's listed with the Federal Bar Western District of Missouri.
