About Joshua
Joshua Brunkhorst began his legal trail at the University of Missouri–Kansas City, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in political science and criminal justice in 2003. He stayed at UMKC for law program and received his J.D. in 2007. Those years in Kansas City shaped his interest in public service and courtroom work.
Early in his career he joined the Johnson County District Lawyer's Office. In 2010 he served as an Assistant District Lawyer there. That position placed him within the local courtroom and involved handling prosecution matters on behalf of the county. The experience supplied practical trial work and publicity to the procedures of Kansas state courts.
After time in public service, Brunkhorst moved into private practice. He launched Brunkhorst Law, LLC in 2021 and assumed possession of the small company. As owner, he manages the day-to-day operations while representing clients across the region. Running a company has required him to stability client work, case strategy, and administrative responsibilities.
He maintains active club within the State Bar of Kansas. That association reflects his status to practice law in Kansas and maintains him connected to developments in state guidelines and local procedures. His educational background in political science and felony justice continues to tell how he evaluates details, statutes, and court approach.
Colleagues describe him as a person who draws on years within the courthouse when preparing instances. He has labored on things that required proceedings and trial arrangements. In private practice, he applies prosecutorial insight to expect arguments and to shape legal responses. The combination of public and personal knowledge offers him a practical view of how cases move through Kansas courts.
Outside casework, Brunkhorst makes a speciality of operating and developing a compact practice that serves local clients. He works from his firm in Kansas and handles matters that arise in state courts. His practice is built on experience gained in the prosecutor’s workplace and sophisticated through private representation.
He now operates Brunkhorst Law, LLC and concentrates on legal matters in Kansas state courts.
