About William
William Melton earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law, completing the diploma in 2019 after starting studies in 2017. At law school he took courses common to municipal and civil practice and participated in practical legal training. The academic document is the foundation of his work in Utah.
Early in his profession he hung out on the Utah County Lawyer’s Office as a Deputy County Lawyer Intern in 2019. That position placed him inside county authorities operations, the place he drafted memoranda, assisted on public records and municipal things, and supported more senior lawyers on day-to-day legal issues dealing with county departments. The internship provided direct publicity to how local regulation is applied and enforced.
Following his time in county government he moved into private practice. He is admitted to practice in Utah. His knowledge since law program has been built around serving clients in state-level things and responding to the procedural demands of local courts and administrative our bodies. Colleagues describe him as methodical in legal research and cautious in preparing pleadings.
Melton eventually based a tradition operating under the call Melton Law. The company serves clients in the region and handles a range of civil things that occur in state and local settings. Outside of legal proceedings and client work, he maintains ties to the legal community and continues to attend professional events and ongoing legal training. That engagement supports him stay recent on modifications in Utah law and court procedure.
