About Wendy
Wendy Ashby earned a law degree from Rutgers School of Law–Camden in 1992 after completing undergraduate studies on the University of Maryland, College Park. Her academic path led her from a science-targeted undergraduate software to the study of regulation, a transition that formed the practical way she strategies problems.
Her profession has been a mix of public service and private practice. Early on she became concerned in local professional and civic teams, becoming a member of the Bucks County Estate Planning Council in 1995 and the Bucks County Bar Association in 1997. Over the years she further memberships within the Family Law Section and the Elder Law Section of the Bucks County Bar Association, and she or he joined the Pennsylvania Bar Association in 2011.
Ashby’s civic involvement spans municipal boards and nonprofit committees. She served as Vice Chair of the Upper Milford Township Parks and Recreation Committee in 2010, later becoming a member of the township’s Open Space Committee in 2015. In 2016 she used to be a member of St. Luke’s Hospital Development Committee and, in 2018, she joined the Advisory Board for the Upper Bucks County Senior Center. Those roles reflect continuous engagement with community-level making plans and services.
Her work in dispute resolution is signaled by her certification as a mediator thru the Bucks County Bar Association and by her role as a mediator for the Bucks County Foreclosure Mediation Program in 2014. That knowledge put her in the room with homeowners, lenders and nearby officials during a duration when foreclosure facilitated negotiation was an important tool for stabilizing households and neighborhoods.
Membership in property planning, elder law and family regulation teams indicates the subjects she encounters maximum frequently in practice. The aggregate of bar association exercise, municipal committee service and certified facilitated negotiation work points to a tradition that combines counseling, bargaining and courtroom readiness when needed.
She practices from Ashby Law Offices, LLC. Today she continues to handle things that draw on her knowledge in estate making plans, elder law, family law and mediation, whilst remaining lively in local forums and bar affiliation sections.
