About Tad
Tad Thomas built his legal basis in the late Nineteen Nineties. He graduated from Georgetown College in 1997 with a B.A. in political science and earned his J.D. from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University in 2000. Fresh out of law program, he moved quickly into practice and into the study room.
His early profession combined personal practice and coaching. In 2000 he opened a solo practice under the call Tad Thomas, Lawyer At Law and took a post as an adjunct professor at Salmon P. Chase College of Law. Those parallel roles gave him immediate publicity to each courtroom work and law school training. In 2008 he joined the Office of the Kentucky Attorney General as an Assistant Deputy Attorney General, a position that further government litigation to his résumé. In 2012 he became a companion at Thomas Law Offices, a firm he remains affiliated with today.
Throughout his career Thomas has been active in expert organizations. He has been a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Louisville Bar Association and the Kentucky Justice Association since 2000. He joined the Southern Trial Lawyers Association in 2007. He has additionally maintained a long relationship with the American Association for Justice, the place he has served in more than one roles. Those roles have included committee management, participation on the Board of Governors and repair on finance and retirement oversight panels. He held the chairperson position for an AAJ committee from 2010 to 2011 and in advance served on convention and law school committees in the mid-2000s.
Peers and colleagues have seen him shift among personal practice and public service. The move to the Attorney General’s workplace broadened the kinds of matters he handled and exposed him to state-degree legal proceedings approach. Returning to private practice and becoming a member of a partnership in 2012 allowed him to mix the ones authorities-law views with civil trial experience earned in his solo years.
Outside the office Thomas has remained engaged within the legal network through persevering with schooling and committee work. He has been listed as an education coordinator and has participated in AAJ political motion and small-company sections. His activity in those groups displays ongoing involvement instead of a single area of volunteer work.
