About Ryan T.
Ryan T. Wojtowicz built his legal foundation at Western Michigan University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Humanities in 2004. He continued at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School and acquired his J.D. in 2009. During law school he studied criminal defense and solo practice, areas that would shape his later work.
His early profession unfolded in Berrien County. In 2010 he served first as a law clerk and then as a magistrate judge within the Berrien County Trial Court. Those roles gave him regular contact with trial process, arraignments and pretrial things. He moved into personal practice over the subsequent several years and spent time as an affiliate at Kotz Sangster Wysocki PC in 2013.
In 2014 he opened Wojtowicz Law, PLC and began running as a solo practitioner. That move formalized a practice centered on felony defense. He used to be licensed to practice earlier than the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians in 2015, including tribal courtroom work to his repertoire. He holds club in the State Bar of Michigan since 2009.
Wojtowicz’s case work has concentrated on criminal matters. He handles misdemeanor and felony charges, advocates for clients at arraignments and plea proceedings, and takes instances through trial when wanted. He also advocates for clients in OWI cases and maintains club in the Michigan Association of OWI Lawyers. His memberships in the Criminal Defense Lawyers of Michigan and nearby bar associations mirror ongoing ties to the defense bar and to courts in southwestern Michigan.
Colleagues and courtroom history display a practitioner who moves between courtroom appearances and the detailed negotiation work that precedes them. He has experience addressing evidentiary issues, pretrial motions and penalty determination hearings. His admission to practice before the Pokagon Band tribal courtroom means he has treated things that cross both state and tribal jurisdictions.
Outside the court he has been involved in local professional teams. He joined the Rotary Club in 2014 and has been a member of the Berrien County Bar Association since 2012. He was a member of the Cass County Bar Association from 2015 to 2018. His organizational ties offer regular touch with different lawyers and with local civic leaders.
He keeps a lively law practice in Michigan thru Wojtowicz Law, PLC, representing clients in felony protection things, including OWI and cases involving tribal courtroom legal authority.
