About Richard A.

Richard A. Wilson educated first as an enterprise scholar after which as an attorney. He earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Franklin & Marshall College in 1995 and completed his J.D. at Temple University in 1999. The two degrees tell a practice that moves among administrative claims and courtroom advocacy.

Wilson started his legal career in the early 2000s. He worked as an affiliate at Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin starting in 2002. Two years later he joined Ody & Wilson, P.C. and has been a companion there since 2004. That move positioned him in a small-company environment where he combined litigation work with client counseling and administrative advocacy.

He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania. Those admissions allow him to manage matters that begin at the company degree and, when important, proceed thru federal court. Over the years he has represented clients before administrative bodies and in civil litigation things in state and federal venues.

Wilson’s professional lifestyles includes long-term club in numerous legal and network organizations. He joined the Pennsylvania State Bar in 2002 and the Huntingdon County Bar Association in 2004. He has been a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Justice since 2005 and the Pennsylvania Association of Boroughs since 2012. Since 2013 he has held club in the National Association of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives. Those affiliations reflect steady engagement with both the nearby bar and teams tied to Social Security advocacy and municipal concerns.

Peers and clients encounter him most often on Social Security and associated administrative claims, as well as in civil legal proceedings springing up out of these claims. His background in enterprise management informs his approach to case preparation. He pairs courtroom experience from federal practice with years of dealing with agency appeals and client representation at the administrative degree. He presently practices at Ody & Wilson, P.C., dealing with Social Security and civil litigation matters.
