About Paul Vincent
Paul Vincent Ciminelli has spent his profession on the assembly point of military service, public prosecution and personal practice. He brings a mixture of courtroom experience and institutional information to his work. Colleagues and clients see a person who understands each the tactical and procedural sides of legal proceedings.
His educational document started on the University of Rochester, where he earned a B.A. in political science in 1981. He then took up legal research at Rutgers University–Camden and acquired his J.D. in 1987. Later he completed a Master of Strategic Studies on the United States Army War College, a diploma awarded in 2007.
After law school, Ciminelli joined the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office. In the Major Felony Bureau he treated serious criminal matters and discovered how complex instances move thru trial and pretrial stages. That early courtroom work formed how he strategies proof, witness preparation and jury narrative.
He also maintained a long affiliation with the United States Army. He served in uniform and eventually attained the rank of colonel. His army education and service knowledgeable a complementary strand of legal work and opened doorways to appellate practice in army and federal boards.
In 1994 he have become a managing member of Ciminelli & Ciminelli, PLLC. The company role placed him in command of trial preparation, case strategy and supervising other lawyers. Over time he balanced firm control with a caseload that included each trial-level matters and appeals.
Ciminelli is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. He is also admitted to several federal appellate courts, which includes the Second Circuit and the D.C. Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Those admissions reflect a tradition that reaches past an unmarried courthouse and that often involves things of federal regulation or military justice.
His work spans trial advocacy, appellate briefing and courtroom appearances in state and federal settings. He is skilled in dealing with contested hearings, drafting appellate briefs and representing clients before appellate tribunals. He manages files from the company’s main office and coordinates litigation strategy across jurisdictions.
Today he continues to practice from the company, dividing his time between litigation and appellate things in each civilian and army courts. His recent practice makes a speciality of courtroom legal proceedings and appellate advocacy in state and federal boards.
