About Pamala
Pamala Favreau built a legal career that started in the public sector and moved into personal practice. She took the conventional trail through law school and into courtrooms, then set up her own practice within the mid-Nineteen Nineties.
Favreau earned her J.D. from Western New England University School of Law in 1989 after finishing a B.S. in Business Administration at Eastern Connecticut State University in 1986. Her time in law school included practical experience; she labored as a legal intern on the Hartford-area company Flaherty, Meisler & Courtney in 1987.
She entered public protection work right now after law school. In 1989 she joined the State of Connecticut Division of Public Defender Services as an assistant public defender. That role put her in ordinary touch with judges, prosecutors and juries throughout the state. It also provided early trial experience handling felony matters for clients who relied on public representation.
In 1995 she opened her personal firm, the Law Office of Pamala J. Favreau. Running a solo practice required shifting from an institutional setting to managing each aspect of representation and practice management. Over the years she has handled trial work and appeals, and she has maintained admissions beyond the state bench; she is admitted to practice in Connecticut and earlier than the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Favreau has pursued professional education in areas tied to trendy felony investigation. She holds certification as a Cell Phone Examiner through the Public Agency Training Council. That credential aligns with the growing position of virtual proof in criminal cases and appeals, and she or he has used the training to examine and contest virtual forensics in litigation.
Her professional memberships extend across local and national groups. She has been a member of the Connecticut Bar Association since 1989. Since 2001 she has been affiliated with the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Lawyers Guild. She is also a member of the Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
Colleagues describe her as a lawyer who has moved fluidly among trial assignments and appellate work, keeping continuous courtroom involvement over many years. She continues to practice from her solo workplace, dealing with criminal protection matters and appeals in state and federal boards.
She maintains an active solo practice representing clients in felony instances and appeals.
