About Neil Stephen
Neil Stephen Dornbaum is a partner at Connell Foley LLP in Roseland, New Jersey — He co-chairs the firm’s Corporate Immigration and Global Mobility practice. With over 40 years of legal knowledge, Dornbaum has dedicated his career primarily to employment-based immigration cases. In January 2021, he joined Connell Foley following the company’s acquisition of his preceding practice, Dornbaum & Peregoy LLC. Before his time at Dornbaum & Peregoy, Dornbaum held significant management roles in the legal community. He served because the National Chair of the American Bar Association's Immigration Committee beneath the General Practice Section.
His influence extended to the ABA's Commission on Immigration, where he contributed to shaping immigration coverage. Additionally, he chaired the New Jersey State Bar's Immigration Section and the New Jersey Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), where he was an active member of the Board of Governors. Dornbaum earned his Bachelor of Arts from Hunter College of the City University of New York in 1978 and his law degree from Temple University in 1981. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey (1985), Pennsylvania (1981), New York (1982), and earlier than the U.S. Supreme Court (1992). As a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association, he is still a lively player within the legal community.
