About Mr. Steven J.
Mr. Steven J. Palermo educated first as a historian and then as a lawyer. He finished a Bachelor of Arts in records at Villanova University in 1992 and earned his law degree from Touro College in 1997. Those classroom years set the stage for a practice rooted in New York procedures and courtroom work.
He moved quickly into practice. A year after finishing law program he joined Palermo Tuohy Bruno, P.L.L.C., and have become a companion in 1998. That early elevation to partnership shaped a profession that has been based on steady service rather than exposure. He has labored mainly in the firm’s Long Island offices whilst handling matters that require appearances within the state courts.
Palermo is licensed to practice before all the courts of the State of New York. He is also affiliated with the New York State Bar Association’s Department of Pro Bono Affairs. Those credentials mirror a practice tied to the New York justice system and an engagement with access-to-justice work within the state bar shape.
Outside the court, Palermo has been a member in good standing of nearby and statewide litigator organizations. He has belonged to the Suffolk County Bar Association since 2014 and joined the New York State Trial Lawyers Association in the same year. Those memberships place him within the networks that coordinate persevering with schooling, local court developments, and community legal matters across Long Island and past.
Palermo continues to maintain multiple office locations throughout Long Island, including Riverhead, Patchogue, Garden City, Babylon, Huntington and the company’s main office. He splits his time amongst those offices to satisfy clients and appear in courts throughout the region. His day-to-day work involves managing cases that require filings, client counseling, and court appearances in state venues.
He presently concentrates his practice out of the firm’s Long Island offices, handling things on behalf of clients in New York state courts.
