About Mr. Brett Alan
Mr. Brett Alan Smith pursued a prolonged course of study before entering practice. He earned a B.S. in Journalism from Middle Tennessee State University in 2005. He went on to finish a Master of Public Administration at Tennessee State University in 2009. Smith then received a J.D. from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University in 2011 and later added a LL.M. in Business Transactions from the University of Alabama in 2015. Those credentials set a broad educational basis across reporting, public management and business regulation.
After law school Mr. Smith moved into private practice and eventually became a partner and proprietor of Huff Smith Law, LLC. His career has been shaped by roles that require both transactional talent and attention to public-sector worries. He has maintained licensure in both Alabama and Florida, allowing him to work on things that cross state lines within the Southeast.
Outside the office he spent four years on a municipal advisory frame. From 2014 to 2018 he served on the City of Auburn’s Greenspace Advisory Board.
