About Michael P.

Michael P. Mullin graduated from Christopher Newport University in 2004 and earned his law degree from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law in 2007. He entered the legal career after law school and has hung out each in public prosecution and in private practice. His educational path mixed a liberal arts undergraduate schooling with 3 years of legal background in Washington, D.C., giving him a foundation for courtroom work and public service.

Mullin began his prosecutorial profession in Suffolk, Virginia, serving as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney starting in 2013. He handled criminal and misdemeanor instances on behalf of the Commonwealth, gaining courtroom experience and familiarity with nearby criminal procedures. In 2019 he joined the Hampton Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney, taking over similar duties in a different legal authority. Those years in two Virginia offices shaped his approach to proof, witness preparation, and jury advocacy.

In 2021 Mullin moved into private practice as an attorney with Randall, Page & Bruch, P.C. At the firm he has represented clients in felony matters and advised on issues that draw on his background as a prosecutor. His practice combines court work with legal strategy and client counseling. Colleagues and opposing counsel have encountered him in courtrooms across the region the place he has advocated on things arising from his prior public-sector cases as well as new things taken on in personal practice.

Outside the court Mullin has taken on roles in public workplace. He has served as a Delegate in the Virginia House of Delegates since 2016 and has been elected Whip by his party colleagues starting in 2020. He continues to stability legislative duties together with his legal practice, participating in the lawmaking procedure whilst keeping an active caseload. That twin position has kept him engaged with issues that have an effect on each policy and practice in Virginia.

Mullin holds a Gang Specialist certification from the Virginia Gang Investigators Association. That credential reflects additional education in gang-related investigations and prosecutorial tactics. It informs his handling of cases where gang exercise, charged offenses, or networked criminal conduct are elements. He stays a member of expert and civic groups and continues to use his prosecutorial background to his current legal work.

He currently practices regulation at Randall, Page & Bruch, P.C., where his work centers on felony defense and associated legal proceedings matters.
