About Matthew J.

Matthew J. Mankey is an attorney whose educational path began in the liberal arts and moved into regulation. He earned a B.A. from St. Johns University in 1980, majoring in government and history and taking a minor in philosophy. He then pursued graduate study at American University, receiving a grasp egree in international family members and Third World development in 1985. He completed his legal background at William Mitchell College of Law, receiving a J.D. in 1992.

Those academic steps formed a tradition that has spanned personal company work and company management. After several years practicing law, he became a partner at Carr and Mankey in 1997. That position placed him in company management and client service at a senior level. In 2002 he took on the title of president at Mankey Law Office, a position he holds whilst persevering with active legal work.

Mankey dmissions consist of the Minnesota bar and federal appellate jurisdictions. He is admitted to practice before the Eighth Circuit and the Federal Circuit. Those credentials allow him to appear in state things and to handle appeals and certain federal appellate problems.

Before and alongside his legal career, his studies in worldwide relations and government provided a much broader context for legal problems that cross jurisdictions and coverage areas. That background informs how he strategies complicated factual history and statutory interpretation. He has additionally maintained club in professional organizations, participating within the networks that help ongoing legal training and professional requirements.
