About Kathryn

Kathryn Whitacre earned her law degree from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2011 after completing a bachelor’s diploma in enterprise at Bowling Green State University in 2006. She arrived within the legal profession with formal education and a few years of undergraduate study behind her. Those educational years set the groundwork for the work she took on immediately after graduation.

While still in law program she sought hands-on experience in legal workplaces. In 2009 she served as a legal extern with Auto-Owners Insurance Company, and the subsequent year she labored as a legal extern and regulation clerk for Carey, Filter, White & Boland. Both positions gave her day-to-day exposure to legal drafting, dossier management, and the procedural work that helps client representation.

After passing through numerous agreement assignments in 2011, working as a freelance lawyer for various businesses, Whitacre moved into a firm position. By 2012 she had joined Whitacre & Stefanczuk LTD as a partner. That step based her at a single practice the place she has continued to develop her legal work and client relationships.

Her early roles — the insurance-organization externship, the clerking work, the contract engagements — knowledgeable the types of things she handles. Those experiences provided realistic familiarity with litigation support, client intake and case preparation. She combines that background with the organizational and analytical skills from her undergraduate studies in enterprise.

Whitacre is certified to practice law in Illinois. She keeps current expert memberships and participates within the regimen expert things to do that accompany small-firm practice. Colleagues describe her as an attorney who attends to the operational side of instances as intently as to the substantive regulation, dealing with filings, attorney-client communication and coordination of outdoor vendors when wanted.

At Whitacre & Stefanczuk LTD she has persisted to serve clients from the workplace headquarters. Her work follows the contours of Illinois law and nearby court practice, and her current practice makes a speciality of things springing up under Illinois law.
