About Justin

Justin Schiks earned his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law. He constructed his legal foundation there and moved into practice in Minnesota. His academic training prepared him for work in state courts and for the practical demands of felony protection.

He is licensed to practice in Minnesota and has centered his profession on felony defense work in Washington County. Over time he have become concerned within the county’s structures for appointed counsel. That involvement ended in roles on the Washington County Criminal Defense Panel and at the Washington County Criminal Clinic, where he presently serves as a criminal defense attorney.

His work at the county panel includes representing individuals charged in nearby courts. He appears in arraignments, handles pretrial matters and represents clients at trial when cases proceed that far. His health facility work places him in community-dealing with settings, where he sees a steady stream of instances and assists people who want counsel in early stages of criminal proceedings. Colleagues describe him as methodical in case preparation and practical at the courthouse.

Schiks’s practice covers a variety of misdemeanor and felony matters beneath Minnesota regulation. He handles client interviews, evidence evaluate and plea negotiations, and he's acquainted with the procedural guidelines that govern criminal cases within the state.
