About Joanna M.
Joanna M. Perilli graduated from New York Law School in 2005 after completing an undergraduate diploma in business and marketing at Rider University in 1998. She arrived at law school with a practical feel of commerce and a clean curiosity in courtroom work. Those two strands—enterprise discipline and advocacy—have formed the arc of her professional lifestyles.
Her practice is certified in both New Jersey and New York. Since entering practice she has worked in litigation settings that require awareness to process and a capacity to reply shortly to changing details. That sensibility is evident in the kinds of things she handles and within the court roles she has taken on.
Perilli has been acknowledged by SuperLawyers as a Rising Star in the area of DWI. The popularity points to a seen presence in drunk driving defense and associated felony matters. She has argued cases in municipal and state courts and has represented clients at a number of levels of prosecution, from initial court appearance thru trial.
From 2008 to 2010 she taught at her alma mater, serving as a part-time law professor at Rider University. The classroom work ran along lively practice and bar association involvement. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Mercer County Bar Association, each since 2005, and joined the Middlesex County Bar Association in 2010. Those memberships reflect ordinary participation in the nearby legal network and in continuing education packages aimed at practitioners.
She practices at The Law Offices of Jonathan F. Marshall. There she handles DWI and associated felony defense matters in New Jersey and New York courts. Colleagues and clients see her as an attorney who manages casework methodically and who pays attention to procedural element. She continues to maintain an active position in local bar associations and in courtroom advocacy, balancing trial work with client counseling.
