About Jeffrey Scott
Jeffrey Scott Spencer is a licensed attorney licensed to practice law in Nevada. He was licensed to the Nevada State Bar in 2004. His license is presently in active status. Mr. Spencer is a companion at Silver State Law LLC, a regulation company positioned in Reno, Nevada. He has been practicing law for over 21 years, serving clients across Northern Nevada, including Reno, Elko, Carson City, Fernley, Fallon, Incline Village, and the Lake Tahoe area.
Mr. Spencer earned his law degree degree from the University of San Diego School of Law, the place he graduated in 2004. Prior to law program, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of Nevada, Reno, receiving a Bachelor of Arts diploma in Economics and International Affairs in 1997. During his time at UNR, he was a worldwide exchange scholar at Beijing Language and Culture University.
Mr. Spencer concentrates his practice in the regions of construction litigation and corporate law. He represents clients in matters involving structure contracts, construction defects, construction liens, enterprise contracts, business dissolution, business finance, business formation, commercial litigation, franchising, M&A transactions, and partnership and shareholder disputes. His practice encompasses all levels of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement discussions, and trial hearings in each state and federal courts.
Throughout his profession, Mr. Spencer has treated instances in the Nevada District Courts, which includes the First Judicial District Court (Storey County and Carson City), Second Judicial District Court (Washoe County), Third Judicial District Court (Lyon County), Fourth Judicial District Court (Elko County), Fifth Judicial District Court (Esmeralda County and Nye County), Sixth Judicial District Court (Humboldt County), Seventh Judicial District Court (Eureka, Lincoln and White Pine Counties), Eighth Judicial District Court (Clark County), Ninth Judicial District Court (Douglas County), Tenth Judicial District Court (Churchill County), and Eleventh Judicial District Court (Pershing, Lander and Mineral Counties). He is likewise admitted to practice earlier than the United States District Court for the District of Nevada, the United States District Courts of California (Central, Eastern, and Northern Districts), and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Prior to becoming a member of Silver State Law LLC, he worked as an affiliate at a mid-size legal proceedings firm in Reno for several years.
Mr. Spencer is an active member of the Nevada State Bar and the Washoe County Bar Association. He is a past Chair of the Construction Law Section for the State of Nevada. He is also a Board member of the Rebuilding Together Northern Nevada association, which provides low-income, senior, and veteran householders with free repairs to their homes. Mr. Spencer is a guest lecturer at UNR’s Construction Management class, a founding partner of the Association of General Contractors Construction Leadership Council, and a HOA Board Member. He enjoys all of Nevada’s out of doors possibilities, including skiing, hiking, and exploring ghost cities, and he also enjoys worldwide travel with his family.
