About James P.
James P. Doré started his professional path in Louisiana courts after completing formal studies at Louisiana State University. He earned a B.A. in 1969 and continued at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, receiving his J.D. in 1973. Those years in Baton Rouge set the tone for a career spent largely in state and federal courtrooms throughout Louisiana.
Doré moved into public service immediately after law school, becoming a member of the Louisiana Department of Justice in 1973. He labored there at the begin of a career that could span personal practice and significant bar involvement. Over time he have become a companion at Kean Miller LLP, where he has handled trials and complex litigation. He is an acquainted figure to judges and opposing counsel throughout more than one districts in the state.
He is admitted to practice earlier than a range of courts. Those admissions consist of the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the federal district courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, further to the Louisiana state bar. That courtroom access reflects many years of active legal proceedings practice and repeated appearances at each trial and appellate ranges.
