About James M.

James M. Conley built his legal foundation in lecture rooms and courtrooms. He earned his undergraduate degree at LaSalle University and completed his law degree at Rutgers School of Law–Camden. Those years set the stage for a profession that moved quickly from public service to private practice.

He began his professional life as an assistant prosecutor within the Camden County Prosecutor's Office. There he prosecuted instances at a number of stages and treated the day-to-day work of a county prosecutor’s staff. He additionally taught at the Camden County Police Academy, training officials on legal and procedural matters that intersect with criminal investigations. The aggregate of court time and classroom instruction shaped how he approaches proof, witnesses and trial preparation.

After his years in public service, Conley joined Helmer, Conley & Kasselman, PA as a companion. At the company he took on defense work and other criminal matters, bringing prosecutorial point of view to the protection desk. His partnership consists of case control, client counseling and trial work. He practices in New Jersey and holds a certification as a Criminal Trial Lawyer from the Supreme Court of New Jersey, a credential that recognizes knowledge dealing with felony and critical misdemeanor trials.

Colleagues and clients see him as steady in courtroom. He has treated contested hearings and jury trials, and his record displays repeated trial experience instead of occasional appearances. He keeps on pinnacle of procedural developments and evidence regulation. Outside the court, his time coaching police recruits gave him direct touch with law enforcement practices and training standards, an attitude that informs witness cross-examination and factual research.

Conley maintains memberships in the Camden County Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association. Those affiliations maintain him involved in nearby and statewide legal conversations. He also works regularly from numerous company offices across New Jersey, including locations in Bridgeton, Freehold, Hackensack, Somers Point, Turnersville, Vineland, Willingboro and Woodstown, amongst others.

He manages instances from intake thru trial and appeal when important. His practice blends trial work, client advising and courtroom strategy. He practices felony protection and associated matters at Helmer, Conley & Kasselman, PA.
