About Dorothy Sarah

Dorothy Sarah Young earned her B.A. in political science from the University of Georgia in 2015. She persisted her legal education at Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2018. Her academic record displays an early curiosity in the intersections of politics and law. She entered the legal career at a time when realistic trial experience things as so much as classroom study.

Her first professional submit came in 2018 as a body of workers lawyer for the Bibb County Circuit Superior Court. That role brought her to courtroom procedures and the demands of case management at the trial degree. In 2019 she moved into public service as an Assistant District Lawyer within the Towaliga Circuit District Lawyer’s Office in Monroe County. She spent that yr dealing with matters on behalf of the state and gained hands-on prosecutorial experience.

Young then shifted to personal practice. In 2020 she joined James-Bates-Brannan-Groover-LLP as an associate lawyer. She hung out on civil litigation matters and discovered the practicalities of representing personal clients and insurers. In 2022 she worked as an associate litigator for Farmers Insurance in an in-residence capacity with the Law Offices of Assunta S. Fiorini, the place she used to be involved in protection and insurance matters. The subsequent yr she joined Martin Snow, LLP as an affiliate lawyer.

Across these roles, Young has repeatedly worked in litigation settings. She has knowledge in courtroom procedures from the perspective of the bench, from the prosecutor’s workplace and from defense and coverage practice. That blend informs how she approaches instances: attentive to time limits and evidence, attuned to procedural strategy, and familiar with the expectations of judges and opposing counsel. Her work has concerned litigation preparation, motion practice and client counseling in contentious matters.

Young is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and has held that membership since 2019. She is licensed to practice in Georgia and has built a tradition that spans civil legal proceedings and insurance-related defense work, while retaining experience in criminal prosecution from her time with the district workplace. Colleagues describe her as realistic and thorough in case preparation, and she or he continues to handle matters that require courtroom readiness and negotiation.

She currently practices at Martin Snow, LLP, handling civil legal proceedings, insurance defense and criminal things in Georgia.
