About David Barr

David Barr Albo built a legal basis in the study room before he ever stood in a courtroom. He attended the University of Virginia, earning a Bachelor of Science in economics after research that began in 1980 and concluded in 1984. He then went on to the University of Richmond School of Law, finishing his law school training in 1988.

He moved into public service early in his career. In 1990 he served as a prosecutor for the City of Fairfax, gaining hands-on knowledge in trial work and case preparation. That role provided regular court time and publicity to the realistic pressures of local criminal justice work.

Public workplace observed. In 1993 he was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates. During his time in the legislature he took on judicial policy through the House Courts of Justice Committee, ultimately serving as its chairman.
