About David Andrew
David Andrew Burkhouse studied history as an undergraduate and went directly to earn a law degree. He graduated from St. Mary s College of Maryland in 2000 with a B.A. in History and acquired his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2004. Those years set the foundations for a career that blends nearby bar leadership with continuous legal practice in Maryland.
Early in his professional life Burkhouse became active in bar things to do throughout the state and in his domestic county. He took part within the Maryland State Bar Association s Fellow Leadership Academy in 2009–2010. That used to be followed by club on the MSBA s Special Committee on Veterans Affairs and Military Law beginning in 2010. He later served on the Maryland State Bar Association s Board of Governors from 2015 to 2016.
His involvement on the county level traces a clean thru-line. Burkhouse served as Treasurer of the Howard County Bar Association in 2011–2012, then moved as much as President-Elect in 2012–2013, and served as President in 2013–2014. Those posts positioned him at the center of nearby bar governance during a period of transition for the affiliation.
Outside the affiliation chairs he has been active with the Howard County Bar Foundation. He used to be named a Fellow in 2015 and joined the inspiration s Board of Directors in 2016, where he continues to serve. Those roles have concerned him in community-dealing with packages and the foundation s work on access and outreach within the county.
Colleagues describe Burkhouse as continuous and engaged in institutional work. He has spent much of his career balancing personal practice responsibilities with volunteer leadership for legal organizations. That combination gave him a frequent seat at committee tables and a voice in discussions approximately problems that affect attorneys and the public alike.
