About David

David Aldrich earned a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2001, the place he studied law and highbrow estate. He also holds a B.A. in physics and philosophy from Rutgers University. The combination of technical and legal background set the stage for a practice that moves among engineering principles and court procedures.

Early in his legal career Aldrich used to be associated with St. Onge Steward Johnston & Reens LLC starting in 2001. That knowledge positioned him within the middle of patent prosecution and litigation work and exposed him to the needs of federally governed intellectual estate practice. He later struck out on his own, founding Forge IP, PLLC in 2017 and serving as a companion there.

Aldrich is admitted earlier than the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and to practice in multiple federal courts, including the District of Colorado, the Eastern District of New York, the District of Connecticut, and the Southern District of New York, in addition to the Federal Circuit. He is also a member of the State Bar of Connecticut. Those admissions allow him to shepherd things from preliminary submitting at the Patent Office to disputes in district court and appeals.

His work facilities on patent things. He prepares and prosecutes patent filings, advises on patent portfolio strategy, and handles litigation and related proceedings. His undergraduate background in physics gives him a technical vocabulary for operating on mechanical and electric innovations. He additionally brings philosophical education to questions of claim construction and argument development.

Outside the courtroom and the Patent Office, Aldrich keeps memberships in professional organizations. He has been a member of LawPact since 2018 and keeps active standing with the State Bar of Connecticut. Those affiliations offer networks for referral work and collaborative matters across jurisdictions.

He now practices through Forge IP, PLLC, where he handles patent prosecution and litigation, patent portfolio counseling, and matters earlier than the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and federal courts.
