About Brian D.

Brian D. Cook earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 2002 after finishing a B.A. in authorities and religion at Centre College in 1998. He arrived at law school after a liberal arts undergraduate education that combined political study with historical and moral perspectives. The academic trail set him up for courtroom work and community engagement that followed.

After law program Mr. Cook joined the Kentucky bar and started practicing in state and federal courts. He holds admission in Kentucky and in the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky. Early in his profession he became lively in nearby and statewide bar teams. He has been a member of the Louisville Bar Association and the Kentucky Bar Association since 2002. He also joined the Kentucky Justice Association in 2006 and the American Association for Justice in 2009, keeping club in the ones organizations through the present.

Cook is a partner at Bahe Cook Cantley & Nefzger PLC. Over the years he has labored alongside trial lawyers and litigators within the company, taking on cases that continue in Kentucky courts and in federal district courts. Colleagues describe him as continuous at hearings and planned in litigation preparation. He has steered matters thru procedural levels and into contested hearings, representing clients in matters that require court advocacy and cautious case control.

Outside the workplace, he serves in civic and academic roles. He is the chairman of the board of trustees at Louisville Collegiate School, a role that involves governance, budgeting and lengthy-range planning for the faculty. That role enhances his legal work and displays a sustained curiosity in local establishments and public service.

Cook’s background combines a liberal arts undergraduate degree and a law degree earned within the early 2000s, lengthy-standing membership in trial and bar organizations, and a partnership at a Louisville company. He continues to practice at Bahe Cook Cantley & Nefzger PLC, dealing with litigation in Kentucky state and federal courts.
