About Timothy
Timothy Denison earned his Bachelor of Arts from Western Kentucky University in 1988, the place he studied psychology and business management. He continued his education at the University of Louisville College of Law and received his Juris Doctor in 1991. Those years of study laid a foundation in analytical thinking and court process that he has carried into practice.
He went into private practice shortly following law school. In 1991 he based his own company, operating beneath the name Timothy Denison, Lawyer at Law. He has maintained that practice continuously since then. Over time he has built a practice grounded in legal proceedings and courtroom work, supported by formal trial training and repeated appearances in state and federal forums.
Denison is licensed to the bar in Kentucky and holds admissions that permit him to appear earlier than the United States Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. His expert training consists of completion of the Trial Practice Institute through NCDC and the Trial Skills Academy thru IFCDA, packages that emphasize court method and advocacy. Those credentials mirror an emphasis on litigation preparation and court presentation instead of transactional work.
Clients and colleagues describe him as steady in the court and pragmatic at counsel desk. He has carried the practical classes from his educational background in psychology and business into how he prepares witnesses and frames legal arguments. He favors clear company of evidence and easy presentation to judges and juries. The practice has remained small and attorney-led, with Denison dealing with many elements of legal proceedings personally rather than delegating maximum work to junior body of workers.
Over the course of a multi-decade career, Denison has balanced courtroom appearances, appellate filings and the day-to-day needs of operating a law office. He maintains active legal proceedings practice and continues to take instances that require trial-ready preparation and advocacy. He currently focuses his private practice on legal proceedings and trial things.
