She started her legal career in private practice. In 2011 she joined Morris Bart, Ltd. as an associate lawyer. The following year she moved into public service as a body of workers lawyer for the Mississippi Department of Human Services. Those early roles uncovered her to each plaintiff- and protection-oriented environments and to the procedural demands of administrative and courtroom work.

Within the Jackson County Bar Association she served as secretary from 2015 to 2016 and as vice president from 2016 to 2017. Those positions put her within the middle of bar occasions, ongoing legal training efforts and local lawyer-to-lawyer coordination.
Her resume displays a mixture of governmental and private-sector knowledge. That background informs how she strategies cases and client questions. She has knowledge handling things that require familiarity with courtroom procedure, administrative rules and the realistic realities of litigation in Mississippi.
