About Anthony John

Anthony John Falangetti is a certified attorney licensed to practice law in the State of California. He used to be licensed to the California State Bar in 1994. His license is presently in lively standing. Mr. Falangetti is the founder and managing attorney at West Coast Defense, a criminal protection law company located in Long Beach, California. He has been working as an attorney for over 30 years, serving clients throughout Southern California, which includes Los Angeles, Torrance, Pasadena, Santa Ana, Van Nuys, and Orange County.

Mr. Falangetti earned his law degree diploma from the McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific in 1994, graduating with honors. During his time at McGeorge, he was a member of the Traynor Honors Society and received the Capitol City Trial Lawyers Association Award for First Honors in Trial Advocacy. Prior to law program, he completed his undergraduate schooling on the University of California, Santa Barbara, earning a Bachelor of Arts diploma in Philosophy and Law and Society in 1991.

Mr. Falangetti concentrates his practice in criminal defense, dealing with a wide range of cases which includes DUI/DWI, white-collar crimes, drug offenses, theft, and violent crimes. He represents individuals at all levels of the felony justice procedure, from initial case evaluation and pre-trial motions to trial proceedings and appeals. His extensive knowledge includes protecting high-profile clients and attaining favorable results in complicated cases.

Throughout his profession, Mr. Falangetti has been licensed to practice before numerous courts, including the Superior Courts of California, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He began his professional legal career as a clerk for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and later served as a Deputy District Attorney for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for nearly 14 years. During his tenure, he prosecuted numerous criminal instances, which includes over 40 murder cases, and worked in a number of courthouses similar to Torrance, Long Beach, Inglewood, and downtown Los Angeles.

Mr. Falangetti is an active member of the California State Bar and has been recognized for his contributions to the legal field. He has been decided on to the California Super Lawyers listing from 2012 to 2026 and has acquired commendations from the U.S. Congress, the California State Senate, and the California State Assembly. He is also concerned in community initiatives, which includes efforts to address substandard housing conditions in Southern California. Mr. Falangetti is fluent in English and Spanish, enabling him to successfully serve a numerous clientele.
