About Ann
Ann Brown constructed a continuous legal practice grounded in courtroom work and shopper protection matters. She combines courtroom experience with years of involvement in professional organizations. Colleagues describe her as realistic and thorough; clients have relied on her for instances that require awareness to each technical detail and advocacy.
She earned a B.A. in politics from Cornell College in 2001. She then attended the University of Iowa College of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2004. Those years formed her interest in litigation and public-interest regulation, and that they supplied the foundation for her later work in civil cases.
After law school she entered personal practice and started dealing with civil legal proceedings in Iowa courts. She is admitted to practice in Iowa and in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Over time her caseload has covered toxic civil wrong matters and other complicated civil claims. Membership in the American Association for Justice’s Toxic Torts Section reflects that region of practice, and it has kept her connected to advancements in legal proceedings strategy and scientific issues applicable to such instances.
Brown has been lively in nearby and state bar groups for much of her career. She joined the Linn County Bar Association in 2004 and has served on its charitable contributions committee. She is a member of the State Bar of Iowa and has belonged to the American Bar Association since 2004. Since 2014 she has held a board role with the Iowa Association for Justice, a role that has concerned governance and outreach on behalf of trial lawyers within the state.
Her office, Ann Brown Legal, PC, handles matters that require courtroom preparation and trial-prepared documents. She prepares court filings, deposes experts and non-experts, and manages evidence-gathering process in complex civil cases. Her practice involves both state and federal court work in Iowa, reflecting her admissions and the types of disputes her clients bring.
Outside the workplace she has remained related to professional networks that tackle trial advocacy, guidelines of civil procedure and scientific problems that occur in poisonous tort claims. That community helps her practice and offers a forum for staying recent on litigation tendencies. She continues to steer cases thru all stages of litigation and to represent clients in contested hearings and appeals.
