About Alexandra

Alexandra Macaluso entered law school intent on knowing the system from multiple angles. She earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, the place she took on internships that exposed her to each trial and appellate work. Those early placements shaped how she approaches cases nowadays.

While nevertheless in law school she interned within the Appellate Unit of the Union County Prosecutor’s Office and later spent time in the Narcotics Unit at the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office. Those roles gave her hands-on experience reviewing records, drafting motions, and observing argument techniques. After commencement she served as a regulation clerk for the Hudson County judiciary, dealing with studies and helping draft opinions for sitting judges.

Her subsequent pass used to be into prosecutorial work. In 2018 she joined the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office as an Assistant Prosecutor. The job put her in courtroom, managing caseloads and coordinating with investigators. It also deepened her familiarity with case preparation, witness dealing with, and trial process. That prosecution background now informs how she evaluates proof and negotiates on behalf of clients.

In 2020 she shifted to personal practice as a criminal defense attorney and affiliate at the Law Offices of Fusco and Macaluso. The difference brought a different set of responsibilities.
