About Adam B.

Adam B. King started his academic journey within the University of California system, studying at UC San Diego earlier than completing a B.A. in Linguistics at UC Berkeley in 1982. He returned to the Bay Area for law program and earned his J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco in 1986. Those years laid a foundation that could carry him between California and Idaho over the course of his career.

He entered personal practice after law school and by 1989 was working as an attorney at Derby, Cook, Quinby & Tweedt. Records show he became a member of the California bar that same yr. In 1997 he moved into solo practice and the subsequent yr joined the Hawai‘i bar, a club that remained until 2010. He joined the Idaho bar and its affiliation in 1997 and later spent time at Hawley Troxell Ennis & Hawley LLP beginning in 2000. In 2008 he established his own firm and has served as principal of Adam B. King, Lawyer at Law, PC since then.

King’s organizational involvement traces a steady thread thru his expert life. He has been a member of the Idaho Bar Association since 1997 and holds an inactive membership in the California Bar Association from 1989. He joined the American Immigration Lawyers Association in 2003 and retains that club. The Hawai‘i bar club is listed as inactive after 2010. These affiliations mirror a career that has crossed state lines and legal specialties.

Throughout his work he has practiced in jurisdictions in both Idaho and California. That geographic range is mirrored in the mix of company and solo practice: early years in company settings, a period as a sole practitioner, a go back to giant-firm practice, and eventually management of his own firm. The trail shows a lawyer who has moved between diverse practice systems and institutional environments.

Colleagues and clients have encountered a lawyer who balances courtroom and workplace duties. He has treated things requiring information of federal and state systems and has kept ties to immigration regulation thru his AILA club. His work in Idaho, combined with his long-status ties to California, shapes how he strategies instances and client relationships.

As of 2026, he continues to operate his company, Adam B. King, Lawyer at Law, PC, maintaining an active Idaho license and managing a practice that consists of immigration-related things.
