About Zachary D

Zachary D Jackson trained first as a business professional before turning to regulation. He attended Campbell University beginning in 1997 and earned a B.B.A. in Trust and Investment Management and a M.B.A., each completed in 2002. He then went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, starting in 2004 and receiving his J.D. in 2007. Those classroom years left him with each technical monetary knowledge and formal legal background.

He gained admission to the Virginia bar in 2007 and to the North Carolina bar in 2008. Early in his profession he moved into private practice and in 2009 opened Zach Jackson Law, where he has served as proprietor and lawyer since. The firm has been his professional base for more than a decade. Through that work he has handled client matters throughout two state jurisdictions and navigated the procedural differences between them.

Jackson’s background in confidence and investment control shapes how he strategies client problems. He is active in household law circles and has been a member of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Family Law Section since 2008, and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and its Family Law Section since 2015. That aggregate of financial education and household law engagement informs his handling of cases that contain department of assets, retirement accounts, business interests and other monetary complexities that often arise in family court.

He is also an extended-standing member of the Union County Bar Association, joining in 2009. His bar memberships, which include both the North Carolina State Bar and the Virginia State Bar, mirror practice across state lines. Jackson’s peer involvement gives ordinary contact with local judges, clerks and fellow practitioners. He seems frequently in state courts and works with clients on bargaining in addition to litigation strategies when disputes move beyond settlement.

Colleagues describe him as practical and precision-focused in approach. He balances court preparation with efforts to resolve matters outside of trial when that aligns with a client’s dreams. In practice he handles the monetary and procedural aspects of family law things, drawing on his combined education in finance and law. He currently represents clients through Zach Jackson Law, dealing with household regulation and associated financial things in North Carolina and Virginia.
