About Vincent J
Vincent J Mata brings an unusual academic trail to his legal work. He studied classical humanities on the University of Notre Dame and earned a B.Phil. in Philosophy and Classical Humanities from Regina Apostolorum Pontifical Athenaeum. He persisted graduate work in philosophy at The Catholic University of America, taking his research deeper into ethical and theoretical questions. He finished his legal training at George Mason University School of Law, graduating with a J.D.
After law school he passed the bar to practice in both Virginia and West Virginia. His practice developed round issues that frequently arise for older clients and their households. He practices thru Mata & Hill PLC, which keeps offices in Strasburg and Winchester. Those offices serve an in large part regional clientele, dealing with matters that intersect with health, family and public benefits law.
Mata’s work centers on senior law and property planning. He handles traditional estate making plans tasks similar to estate documents and the array of realistic problems that comply with as people age. His files generally consist of Medicaid making plans, conservatorship petitions and estate administration administration. He takes a methodical strategy to these instances, breaking complex issues into manageable steps and explaining options plainly to clients and household members.
He has been a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys since 2016 and of the Virginia Academy of Elder Law Attorneys since 2016.
