About Vanessa

Vanessa Icolari began her legal background at Columbia Law School in 2005 and earned her J.D. in 2009. She finished a rigorous curriculum during a period of significant difference in public interest law and regulatory practice. Classwork and clinics at Columbia exposed her to the issues that would shape the early years of her career.

After law school, Icolari moved into public service. In 2011 she served as a Senior Lawyer at the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. In that position she labored inside a state company that oversees baby welfare and related programs. Her work involved advising on company procedures and assisting manage legal matters that intersect with household offerings and state law.

Four years later she launched a solo practice. In 2015 she based the Law Office of Vanessa Icolari as a sole proprietorship. Running a solo office required a diverse set of skills than company work. She shifted from an institutional placing to managing her own practice, dealing with intake, litigation arrangements, and client counseling.
