Timothy Scott Galusha is a certified attorney licensed to practice regulation in the State of California. He was licensed to the California State Bar in 1993. His license is presently in active standing. Mr. Galusha is a companion at Thompson, Welch, Soroko & Gilbert LLP, a law firm with workplaces in San Rafael and San Francisco, California. He has been working as an attorney for over 30 years, serving clients across the San Francisco Bay Area.
Mr. Galusha earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (previously UC Hastings) in 1993. Prior to law school, he finished his undergraduate schooling at the University of California at Berkeley, receiving a Bachelor of Arts diploma in 1990. During his time at UC Hastings, he externed on the California Court of Appeal for Justice Ming Chin, who served as a Justice of the California highest court from 1996 to 2020.
Mr. Galusha concentrates his practice in the regions of actual property, business, and partnership regulation, with a specialization in estate tax problems. He advocates for individuals and agencies in things involving real estate transactions, business law, partnership regulation, and estate tax concerns. His practice encompasses all levels of legal proceedings, including litigation, bargaining sessions, and trials in each state and federal courts.
Throughout his profession, Mr. Galusha has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Marin, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has additionally seemed earlier than the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to joining Thompson, Welch, Soroko & Gilbert LLP, he worked as an associate at a mid-length litigation firm in San Francisco for numerous years.
Mr. Galusha is a member in good standing of the Real Property and Business Law sections of the State Bar of California, the San Francisco Bar Association, and the Marin County Bar Association. From 2011 to 2015, he served because the Co-Chair of the Marin County Bar’s Real Property Section. Since 2003, he has lectured on property tax issues regarding Proposition thirteen and reassessment. He is the co-writer, with Wayne H. Gilbert, of "Understanding Property Tax Treatment of Trusts," posted within the Winter 2007 problem of Trusts and Estates Quarterly. Mr. Galusha has volunteered pro bono services on behalf of Marin Legal Aid since 2003. He is living in Marin County with his spouse and three young people and is concerned in various community activities, including teaching formative years soccer and collaborating in local sports activities leagues.
