About Timothy J.
Timothy J. Leonard studied psychology before turning to law. He earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2010 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Washington & Jefferson College. Those academic years formed an early curiosity within the intersection of human behavior and judicial process.
He started his professional legal career within the Pittsburgh area. In 2013 he labored as an associate lawyer at W. Jeffrey Leonard, Esq., P.C. Five years later he took a position with Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP as an attorney. The two roles exposed him to diverse workplace structures and case masses, and to work throughout each small-firm and large national-firm settings.
Outside of firm work Leonard has participated in local legal institutions. He joined the Allegheny County Bar Association in 2016 and has been lively there. Since 2014 he has also held membership in the Westmoreland Bar Association. In 2017 he joined the board of directors of Laurel Legal Services, Inc., and he remains on that board. Those engagements have stored him related to network-focused legal matters and regional expert networks.
