\n\nMr. Downs earned his law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1982.
Prior to that, he finished his undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland at College Park in 1978.\n\nIn 1983, he started his private practice, at the beginning dealing with a range of civil cases, including domestic family members, personal injury, estates. Guardianships.
Since 1995, he has targeted exclusively on property planning and management, estate administration, and guardianship.\n\nHe has served as the Chair of the Prince George’s County Bar Association Committee for Estates and Trusts. Downs is living in Laurel, Maryland, with his spouse, Margie Lazzati Downs.
