About Terri Joann
Terri Joann Breer is a certified attorney admitted to practice regulation in California in 1985, holding. She is the founder and lead coach at New Day Divorce Center, a mediation and education firm located in Irvine, California. With over 35 years of experience, Ms. Breer has dedicated her career to family regulation facilitated negotiation, collaborative divorce, and alternative dispute resolution, serving clients across Orange County and Los Angeles County.
Ms. Breer earned her Juris Doctor diploma from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1985. Prior to law program, she finished her undergraduate studies at the University of Southern California, acquiring a diploma in 1981. Her education laid the inspiration for her extensive profession in household law and mediation.
Ms. Breer's practice makes a speciality of helping couples in resolving divorce and family regulation disputes through mediation and cooperative divorce methods. She has mediated hundreds of instances involving divorce, custody, estate department, support, prenuptial agreements, domestic partnerships, and surrogacy preparations. Her approach emphasizes consensual dispute decision, aiming to keep families out of court and reduce the emotional and monetary expenses related to adversarial litigation.
Throughout her career, Ms. Breer has been actively concerned in various professional organizations. She served as Chair of the Orange County Bar Association's Alternative Dispute Resolution Section in 2014 and has been a board member of the Southern California Mediation Association (SCMA) for multiple phrases. She chaired the SCMA Family Mediation Institute from 2018 to 2023 and acquired the SCMA Star Award for Excellence and Innovation in Family Mediation in 2023. Additionally, she based the Attorney Therapist Breakfast Club in 2017, fostering collaboration among legal and intellectual fitness professionals.
