T. E. Cauthorn has spent a career at the intersection of public service, the bench and private practice. Admitted to practice in Georgia and before the U.S. Supreme Court and the Eleventh Circuit, Cauthorn constructed a profile that moves between court work and dispute resolution.
Cauthorn’s public service started within the Georgia Legislature, where he served as a member of the House of Representatives. That legislative knowledge preceded a collection of judicial appointments. He served at the bench in the Cobb Judicial Circuit, sat on Georgia’s Superior Courts and later presided within the State Court of Cobb County. These roles positioned him within the middle of civil and felony dockets, trial calendars and the regimen decisions that shape nearby courtroom practice.
After years on the bench, Cauthorn transitioned again to private practice. He founded Cauthorn Nohr & Owen, bringing judicial point of view to the company’s handling of legal proceedings and dispute resolution. At the company he drew on trial experience to advise clients, lead trials and manage settlement talks. His path from legislator to judge to founder gives him a layered perspective on how instances move thru Georgia’s legal system.
Cauthorn holds registration as an arbitrator and mediator through the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution. That registration covers Arbitration, General Civil Mediation and Domestic Relations Mediation beneath Registration ID 4746-8270-6467-2256. He is also admitted to plead and practice in Georgia trial courts beneath Georgia Bar Number 117400. His admissions extend to federal appeals practice earlier than the Eleventh Circuit and to the roster of lawyers permitted to seem before the U.S. highest court.
