Steven Solomon Feder is a licensed attorney admitted to practice regulation in the State of California. He used to be licensed to the California State Bar in 1983. His license is currently in active standing. Mr. Feder is a senior partner at Lowthorp Richards, LLP, a law company positioned in Oxnard, California. He has been working as an attorney for over 42 years, serving clients across Ventura County and the nearby areas.
Mr. Feder earned his Juris Doctor and Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law, graduating in 1983. Prior to law program, he completed his undergraduate schooling at the University of Michigan, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering in 1980. During his time at the University of San Diego, he was a Merit Scholar, served as a staff writer for the law school magazine, and used to be a finalist in the Attorney-Client Moot Court opposition.
Mr. Feder concentrates his practice in the regions of estate planning, estate administration, complex trusts, business associations, companies, and complex tax matters. He is a licensed expert in property planning, trust, and estate administration regulation by the State Bar of California. His practice encompasses all levels of legal proceedings, including preliminary case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement discussions, and trial proceedings in each state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Feder has handled cases within the Superior Court of California for the County of Ventura, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Tax Court. He has also seemed earlier than the California Court of Appeal on more than one events. Prior to founding his own company, he labored as an associate at a mid-length litigation firm in Ventura for five years.
Mr. Feder is an active member of the Estate Planning Law Section of the Ventura County Bar Association, where he has served at the Education Committee for decades. He is also a member of the California State Bar Association. He is a frequent lecturer on property making plans, corporate, and tax subjects and has taught as a part-time law professor at the Santa Barbara and Ventura Colleges of Law, as well as at California Lutheran University. Mr. Feder is English-speaking and Spanish, allowing him to serve the numerous communities of Ventura County successfully.
