Simon J. Lebo constructed a steadier type of profession. He arrived at Dickinson College within the late 1980s and left in 1992 with a B.A. that combined political science, records and economics. He stayed in Pennsylvania for law school and earned his J.D. from Pennsylvania State University’s Dickinson School of Law in 1996.
His realistic legal training started while he was still in law program. In 1995 he labored as a legal intern for the Pennsylvania State Employees Retirement Board. That early exposure to public-sector pensions and administrative structures fed into the type of work he would take on later.
Soon after commencement he moved into personal practice. By 1999 he was a capital companion at Brown, Paindiris & Scott, LLP. Over the years he has taken on management roles within the firm. In 2016 he have become chair of the BPS Trusts & Estates Department, a role he continues to maintain. The role has him overseeing case handling and departmental administration, and it places him at the center of the firm’s estate-making plans and fiduciary work.
Lebo’s memberships reflect his professional interests. He has been part of the Connecticut Bar Association since 1999. He joined a committee of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys in 2008. Since 2017 he has been a member of the Hartford Estate and Business Planning Council. Those affiliations keep him engaged with the evolving rules that have an effect on estates, trusts and elder law.
He is certified to practice in Connecticut and is licensed to seem earlier than the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
