About Samuel Carlson

Samuel Carlson Higginbottom began his expert trail in an unusual position for a lawyer: the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering in 2005. The technical education and operational experience that come from that background have persisted to inform his strategy to legal problems.

He returned to the classroom for regulation within the subsequent phase of his career and received a law degree from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law in 2010. After law school he moved into practice that spans two different legal landscapes. He is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia and in Florida, which has shaped where and the way he advocates for clients.

His early years in the profession covered court work and counseling for people and agencies. That aggregate uncovered him to legal proceedings and transactional matters. Colleagues say he brings an engineer’s attention to detail to complex factual scenarios, and clients have engaged him on disputes that required each legal evaluation and a knowing of technical topic.

Over time he established his personal workplace. He now practices under the call Law Office of Samuel C Higginbottom. From that base he has handled cases and client things that arise under the laws of his licensed jurisdictions. Operating a small firm has required him to control both the legal work and the realistic side of operating a practice.

Higginbottom’s work bridges two skill sets. His marine engineering education offers him a grounding in technical issues that can surface in injuries, equipment disputes, regulatory compliance, and load matters. His legal training and courtroom experience offer the equipment to gift those problems to judges, regulators, and opposing counsel. That aggregate may be beneficial when factual complexity is central to a client’s problem.

He keeps a private practice that serves clients within the District of Columbia and Florida. He represents people and entities in matters that require legal proceedings, regulatory navigation, and technical analysis. He practices at the Law Office of Samuel C Higginbottom, and his current practice makes a speciality of legal issues arising under District of Columbia and Florida law.
