About Ryan H.

Ryan H. James built his path to regulation in classrooms and courtrooms. He earned a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from Allegheny College in 2007 and finished his J.D. at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2011. Those years formed his view of the justice system. They also set him on a course toward criminal defense and appeals practice.

Early in his legal background he labored inside two very diverse establishments. As a student lawyer in 2010 he represented clients through the Washtenaw County Public Defender’s workplace. The subsequent year he served as a clerk-intern for the Michigan highest court. Those roles gave him hands-on experience in trial advocacy and exposure to state-degree appellate processes. They also provided a framework for judgment and process he still uses.

After law program he moved into personal practice and later established James Law, LLC. He has maintained ties to the courts within the Third Circuit. That connection has shaped much of his appellate work. He appears in state and federal matters and approaches each case with the same methodical preparation he discovered as a clerk and a student recommend.

James’s expert affiliations reflect his practice and his location. He has been a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association since 2012 and joined the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in 2017. These memberships tie him to nearby trial and appellate developments and to a community of lawyers handling criminal matters. He attends persevering with schooling and bar things to do that middle on felony defense and court procedure.

Colleagues describe him as realistic and thorough instead of theatrical. He prepares records and briefs cautiously and checks arguments towards precedent. His oral advocacy favors readability over flourish. In courtroom he aims to present problems in terms judges and juries can comply with. His background in political science and philosophy nevertheless shows in his awareness to legal reasoning and statutory interpretation.

Today he practices from James Law, LLC. His caseload consists of criminal protection on the trial degree and appeals in state and federal courts, which includes matters before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He keeps memberships in bar organizations tied to felony protection and nearby practice.

His current practice concentrates on felony defense and appellate work.
