About Russell J.
Russell J. Adkins started his legal career within the courthouse, serving as a law clerk to the Hon. John C. Reed on the Court of Common Pleas of Mercer County in 2007. That year brought him to the rhythms of state judiciary practice and gave him an early look at how judges weigh factual history and legal argument. The clerkship laid a basis for steady work in Pennsylvania courts.
He moved into private practice the subsequent year. In 2008 he joined Ekker, Kuster, McCall & Epstein, LLP as an affiliate lawyer. Over the next decade he progressed thru the firm’s ranks and have become a partner there in 2018. His years at Ekker, Kuster, McCall & Epstein coincided with sustained involvement in nearby bar things to do and collaborative professional groups, a demonstration of how his expert lifestyles expanded beyond the office.
In 2023 he took a companion position at Brouse McDowell, LPA. That duration added a different institutional perspective to his resume and broadened the variety of matters he handled. A year later he moved again, joining Margaret T. Lucas, Lawyer at Law, P.C. as a partner in 2024. Adkins has been active in professional institutions for much of his profession. He has been a member of the Mercer County Bar Association since 2007 and belongs to the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Since 2012 he has counted himself amongst the Collaborative Professionals of Northwest Pennsylvania and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
