About Russell D.
Russell D. Bernstein built his legal basis at the University of Florida, where he earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice in 1994. He persisted his studies at Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University, receiving his J.D. in 1997. Those years shaped his courtroom instincts and set the stage for a practice centered in South Florida.
Soon following law school he released his personal company. In 1997 he became president and owner of Russell D. Bernstein, P.A. He has operated the company since then, growing a steady practice within the groups around Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Running a small company has meant managing both the enterprise and the legal work, and he has spent many years balancing those responsibilities.
His admissions reflect a mix of state and federal work. He is admitted to practice in Florida and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He is also licensed to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and is a member of that court’s Trial Bar, which allows him to attempt matters in federal court. Those credentials allow him to handle cases that start in state judiciary and move into the federal device.
Local and expert ties thread thru his career. He holds current memberships in the Florida State Bar, the Broward Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Miami-Dade County Bar Association and the Broward County Bar Association. He is also a member of the City of Weston Chamber of Commerce. Those affiliations have kept him related to peers, nearby judges and civic leaders, and that they tell how he approaches instances that occur in the region.
Throughout his practice he has seemed in both state and federal boards in South Florida. His background in criminal justice combined with his long-status memberships in criminal defense organizations make him an acquainted presence in local courtrooms. He keeps his office beneath the firm name Russell D. Bernstein, P.A., the place he continues to represent clients in criminal and federal matters.
He presently practices felony protection and federal legal proceedings from his firm in South Florida.
