About Rod

Rod Caruco earned his B.A. from the University of Central Florida in 2006 and his J.D. from Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in 2010. He entered the legal world straight out of law school and discovered work that paired court process with research and writing. That early period formed how he approaches cases nowadays.

After graduation he served as a regulation clerk at the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces in 2010. The clerkship placed him interior a specialized appellate setting, where he gained firsthand exposure to military appellate procedure. Two years later he took a commission as a Judge Advocate within the United States Air Force. His time on active duty positioned him in a system that blends army regulations and criminal regulation.

Following his army service he moved into private practice. He joined Boyd & Jenerette, P.A. as a senior affiliate in 2023. Later that identical year he based Caruco Law, PLLC. The move to open his own company mirrored a desire to take on cases finish to end, from investigation thru trial and appeal.

Caruco is admitted to practice in numerous federal and army courts. His admissions include the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, and district courts in the Middle, Southern, and Northern Districts of Florida. Those credentials permit him to take cases at trial level and pursue appeals throughout more than one boards.

Professional associations were a part of his practice since 2010. He joined organizations aligned with criminal defense work and DUI practice in 2024, including the National College for DUI Defense, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Central Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He maintains the ones memberships as part of his ongoing professional activity.

His caseload reflects the mix of admissions and experience. He handles matters that arise in state and federal courts, and he accepts instances that implicate military justice and appellate problems. He is comfortable moving among fact improvement at trial and the legal evaluation required on appeal.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparation and straightforward in courtroom. He balances written advocacy with oral argument, drawing on his clerkship and army practice to border legal matters for judges and juries. He concentrates his practice on criminal defense, DUI representation, federal litigation and appeals, and army justice things.
