About Robert S.
Robert S. Iwrey started his educational trail in the sciences before turning to law. He earned a B.S. in Neuropsychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1984. Six years later he took his Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School, receiving his J.D. in 1990.
His early legal work included a law clerk and associate role at Brescoll & Associates, P.C., beginning in 1991. He moved into higher duty at Wachler & Associates, P.C., where he served as an affiliate and later as a partner starting in 1999. He later helped set up The Health Law Partners, P.C., the place he's a founding member. Over the course of his career he has seemed in each state and federal hearings and expanded his practice into federal courts.
He is admitted to practice in Michigan and New York, and he holds admissions to several federal courts which includes the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan, the Eastern District of Michigan and the Southern District of New York. He is likewise granted pro hac vice status to seem in courts across the nation when cases require it.
His expert affiliations reflect a sustained involvement within the intersection of law and health care. He holds memberships in the Michigan State Bar, the American Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. He is lively in health law circles thru the American Health Lawyers Association and the State Bar of New York Health Care Law Section. Within the State Bar of Michigan’s Health Care Law Section he has served at the Executive Council and chaired the Pro-Bono Work Group; he has also served as chair of the Website Committee and labored on the Technology Subcommittee. Locally, he has served as chair of the Medical/Legal Committee for the Oakland County Bar Association.
Iwrey’s work has centered on legal matters that affect health care providers, institutions and mavens. His practice has involved litigation, regulatory questions and expert legal responsibility issues, and he has combined bar leadership and committee work with case work in courts and administrative settings.
He keeps a lively position at The Health Law Partners, P.C., the place he oversees client things and continues involvement in court litigation and fitness regulation policy things. His current practice concentrates on fitness regulation and associated litigation, regulatory and professional responsibility things.
