About Richard

Richard Trunnell earned his J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 1987 after completing a B.A. at Gettysburg College in 1984. He moved from a liberal arts undergraduate software into law school at a time when countrywide debates over regulatory and business law were prominent. The chronology formed his approach: cautious, methodical, and attentive to both statute and precedent.

He entered practice following law school and based a continuous presence in regional matters. He is admitted to practice in Maryland and Pennsylvania and has handled cases and client things across each states. Over the years he has balanced courtroom work with counseling clients, addressing questions that range from transactional facts to contested litigation. His work has required translating technical legal matters into concrete alternatives for people and businesses.

Alongside court appearances, Trunnell has remained engaged with professional circles. He maintains current memberships in legal associations that keep him connected to ongoing legal training and to colleagues across jurisdictions. That involvement has supported his practice by maintaining him current on procedural modifications and state-degree developments that have an effect on clients in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Trunnell’s office is Trunnell Law, LLC. From there he manages client things, prepares filings, and coordinates with local counsel when instances span jurisdictions. He systems his practice to respond to the realistic needs of clients while observing procedural rigors. Colleagues describe him as methodical in making ready instances and aware of scheduling and evidence-gathering process needs. Clients work with him on case strategy and on the exact drafting and review of files that often decide outcomes.

Outside the courtroom, he has persisted to follow legal scholarship and state selections that influence daily practice. He applies that knowledge in client meetings and in written work. Court calendars and statutory changes in both Maryland and Pennsylvania shape the rhythm of his practice. He currently practices at Trunnell Law, LLC, dealing with matters that occur beneath Maryland and Pennsylvania law.
