About Peter W.
Peter W. Schloss earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice and Criminology from the University of Missouri–Kansas City in 1998 and returned to the same campus for law school, receiving his J.D. in 2006. His academic path stored him near the Midwest legal network and prepared him for both courtroom work and classroom guide.
He opened his personal practice the year he received his Juris Doctor, listing the Law Office of Peter W. Schloss as his start line in 2006. Early in his career he have become lively in local prosecutorial work, joining the City of Excelsior Springs’ office as an assistant prosecuting lawyer in 2009. That role gave him regular courtroom time and publicity to municipal things.
By 2015 he had taken on the title of prosecuting lawyer for the City of Excelsior Springs. The municipal role required him to handle cases introduced by the city and to advise local officials on enforcement questions. Alongside his municipal work he also accepted a position in legal education, serving as an adjunct professor at CTU in 2010. Students encountered a practitioner’s view of the regulation in his classroom periods.
Schloss holds active memberships within the Missouri State Bar and the Clay County Bar Association since 2006, and he joined the Kansas State Bar in 2007. Those memberships reflect regimen participation within the bar communities of both states where he's licensed to practice. Over the years he has moved between public and personal practice, balancing casework for municipal clients with services for individual and business clients through his personal office.
Colleagues describe his career as one which crosses municipal prosecution, private representation, and teaching. He has spent much of his practice in Kansas and Missouri courts, dealing with matters that arise in metropolis, county, and state settings. He keeps the expert ties that keep him engaged in regional legal advancements and in local courtroom calendars.
Today he operates beneath the name Peter W. Schloss, Lawyer at Law. He continues to serve clients in each Kansas and Missouri, dealing with things that consist of municipal prosecutions and associated nearby legal matters.
